Founded in Jerusalem's Old City in 1848—Israel's oldest existing winery—the Galina-Shor family has operated across nine generations, with Yossi Shor establishing the current 1848 Winery in 2006 and investing in Bordeaux-trained winemaking talent to source from Galilee's premium vineyards. Galilee's elevation, Mediterranean climate, and limestone-rich soils produce this deep, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French oak barrels, delivering aromas of ripe blackberries, mint, vanilla, and tobacco, with a complex, well-balanced palate and a long, persistent finish. Certified kosher and mevushal.
