The estate s unique location between the Wairau River and Cloudy Bay creates an ideal microclimate for viticulture, with diverse soils ranging from loam to alluvial deposits promoting optimal drainage and vine health. This sustainably farmed site benefits from moderated temperatures and enhanced airflow, ensuring even ripening. This single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, hand-harvested from the MacDonald Family Home Vineyard, undergoes indigenous fermentation in French oak cigars, chosen specifically for enhanced lees contact. Nine months of maturation develops remarkable texture while preserving freshness, resulting in a complex wine featuring stone fruit and tropical notes, lifted by citrus blossom and subtle smoked vanilla nuances.
