Whitehall Lane is a family-owned winery in Napa Valley's Rutherford appellation, cultivating over 157,000 grape vines across eight estate vineyards. Dedicated to producing award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Estate wines using Napa Green certified and sustainable practices, the winery has received numerous accolades, including recognition from Wine Spectator Magazine and being voted Winery of the Year. Founded in 1979 on historically cultivated soil, Whitehall Lane was acquired by the Leonardini Family in 1993, who modernized winemaking practices and expanded vineyard holdings to over 200 acres across various appellations, maintaining a commitment to sustainable farming and on-site wine production in St. Helena.
The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc offers a great deal of complexity. On the nose, it evokes fresh peaches, honeysuckle, fresh figs, sweet tarts, and fragrant white Bowers. Though crisp upfront, the mid-palate offers a medium-bodied texture Its flavors include Bartlett pears, fruit cocktail, baked apple pie, and a touch of roasted walnut. The finish has a beautiful length with fresh acidity and subtle toasty notes.
