The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Champs Perdrix has turned out beautifully, revealing aromas of sweet cherries and raspberries mingled with notions of rose petal, bergamot and exotic spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with powdery tannins, tangy acids and a saline finish, it transcends the heat of the vintage.  William Kelley

Elegant and airy if restrained aromas display notes of pure and fresh dark currant and an abundance of floral nuances that include rose petal, violet and lavender. There is both excellent tension and precision to the focused flavors that brim with minerality on the linear, compact and overtly austere finale. This too should benefit considerably from at least 5 years or so of bottle aging.

Cask sample. Bright crimson. Sweet and rich – almost like a New World Pinot! Muscular with no shortage of fine tannins. Still quite youthful but respectable. Appetising dry finish.
