Tesseron Cognac, established in 1905 by Abel Tesseron in Châteauneuf-sur-Charente, emerged as a luxury brand in 2003 after more than a century of supplying rare, aged stocks to major Cognac houses. The family, now in its fourth generation under Alfred and Melanie Tesseron, maintains one of the world's finest collections of aged cognacs in their 13th-century cellars, formerly a church crypt. Distinguished by their exclusive production of XO and above classifications, Tesseron sets itself apart by using all three traditional Cognac grape varieties (Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, and Colombard) sourced primarily from Grande and Petite Champagne districts. Their unique production method involves aging in loose-grained Limousin oak barrels within humid cellars, with older spirits preserved in glass demijohns in their Paradis cellar, creating exceptionally rare and sought-after Cognacs identified by Lot numbers rather than vintage dates.
Made from Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the fine Champagne appellation, Composition offers an array of quince and fruity notes combined with a round attack and a smooth finish.
