Stiùireadair, pronounced "stew-rahdur," is a limited edition scotch from Bunnahabhain distillery. This amber gold whisky, bottled at 46.3% ABV, offers a blend of coastal and sherry influences. The nose presents dried fruit, caramel, and sea salt, with hints of vanilla, nuts, and light spice. On the palate, it has a creamy texture, featuring flavors of dried fruit, sea salt, and caramel, complemented by notes of nuts and mild spice. The finish is long, with lingering dried fruit flavors. Aged in first and second fill sherry casks, Stiùireadair aims to highlight the whisky's coastal character while maintaining the sherry influence Bunnahabhain is known for. Its name, meaning "Helmsman" in Scots Gaelic, pays homage to the Bunnahabhain Helmsman depicted on their bottles.

Bunnahabhain, a beloved whisky distillery, was established in 1883 on the shores of the Sound of Islay, with its origins dating back to 1879. Despite facing challenges, including a closure in 1930, the distillery has continued to thrive, with significant milestones including the introduction of its classic 12-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky in 1979, the transition to road supplies in 1993, and a return to non-chillfiltered, natural-colored whisky production in 2010. Today, Bunnahabhain continues to produce a range of popular whisky variants, with investments in the distillery and visitor center, and remains true to its coastal living and daring spirit heritage.
