Bert "Tito" Beveridge launched Tito's Handmade Vodka in 1997 as Texas's first legal distillery, operating out of Austin on a handmade pot still — the same still type used for single malt Scotch and fine Cognac. The base is 100% corn, which gives the spirit a naturally gluten-free profile. Multiple distillations and a taste-testing protocol on every batch aim for consistency across large-scale production. On the palate, expect subtle sweetness with light pepper, clean grain character, and a dry, neutral finish that works well straight or in mixed drinks.
