Scotland's tallest pot stills — standing over 5 meters — give Glenmorangie its defining character: a longer copper contact that strips heavier congeners and produces an unusually light, floral new make spirit. Distilled at the Tain distillery in the northern Highlands using hard water filtered through Tarlogie Springs sandstone, the 10 Year matures exclusively in American white oak ex-bourbon casks used no more than twice, building layers of vanilla, peach, and orange zest. The finish is clean and moderately sweet, with a gentle warmth and faint nuttiness.
