From the St. Helena property that serves as both headquarters and home to the Turley family, this distinctive Estate Zinfandel showcases the meticulous vineyard work that has made Turley Wine Cellars a benchmark producer since 1993. Under winemaker Tegan Passalacqua's direction, these certified organic, head-trained vines (planted in 1996, 2006, and 2011) are dry-farmed and interplanted with Carignane, Trousseau, and Cinsault to add complexity. Following hand harvesting, the fruit undergoes native yeast fermentation before aging 15 months in a thoughtful combination of French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered at 15.5% alcohol, this expressive Zinfandel delivers the concentrated dark fruit intensity and layered spice notes that exemplify Turley's commitment to preserving California's unique winemaking heritage through minimal intervention techniques that honor vineyard character.
