Bruno Clair's Marsannay "Source des Roches" comes from clay-limestone soils on southeast-facing slopes at 310 meters elevation in Burgundy's Marsannay appellation, where the mineral-rich terroir imparts structure and freshness to the wine. The mature Chardonnay vines, planted in the 1980s and 1990s, produce fruit that ferments in stainless steel before aging 18 months in oak barrels and foudres. This pale gold 2022 wine shows fresh apple and lemon aromas with good balance and refreshing acidity.
