Olivier Leflaive, a member of the renowned Leflaive family, established Maison Olivier Leflaive in 1985. With a focus on quality and a team directed by Olivier himself, the maison sources grapes from top vineyards, including those in Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Meursault, and Pommard. Today, Maison Olivier Leflaive controls 50 acres of vineyards and produces wines known for their precision, elegance, and finesse. The Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Anges is a Pinot Noir wine from the 2020 vintage, produced using sustainable methods and manual harvesting. The wine is characterized by a fine and elegant nose with crunchy fresh fruits and a refined, velvety substance. With 13.4% alcohol, it is ideal for pairing with red meats in sauce, game animals, eggs en meurette, and a variety of cheeses. The wine is aged for 16 months in 100% oak barrels, with 28% new oak, resulting in a full-bodied and complex flavor profile.
