QUINTA DA CORTE LBV 2015

Quinta da Côrte, a winery in the Douro region, was owned by the local Pacheco & Irmãos families for many years, producing grapes and occasional batches of wine sold to major Port producers such as Delaforce, Croft, Taylor s, and Ramos Pinto, but lacked the resources to achieve independence and develop its own range despite its great terroir. In 2012, Philippe Austruy, owner of several domaines in France and abroad, fell in love with the property at first sight despite its lamentable state and lack of maintenance, and after more than a year of arranging the purchase with multiple heirs, began work on the vineyard and wine store, resulting in the production of a Douro red in 2013 that already displayed the excellence of the terroir.
