DEANSTON 12YR OLOROSO CASK 2008

The Deanston pours strong on the nose with a rich spiciness, hints of leather and cream, and dark cherry notes. The spiciness continues on the palate with honey, malt, dried fruits, and boozy raisins. Oloroso sherry casks add a warming Christmas cake spice character that lingers in the medium to long finish, all balanced beautifully with the signature Deanston honey malt character. This isn t a one-note sherry bomb, but rather a whisky where the spirit and cask play equally important roles.
