Lustrous deep ruby with bricky rim. Deep and alluring with hints of cherry and dried tamarind. Lush palate shot through by fresh acidity over a layer of gravelly tannins. Hints of dried fruit and ripe cherry, but this will come round in an unexpected way. Idiosyncratic and archaic. The last Mohican? (WS)
