Sylvain Cathiard's grandfather, a foundling from Savoie, worked with renowned Domaine de la Romanée Conti (DRC) and Lamarche before acquiring his own vineyards. The domaine has since been passed down through generations, with Sylvain and his son Sébastien currently at the helm. They tend to 5.5 hectares of vineyards in Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-St-Georges, and Chambolle-Musigny, including prestigious holdings in Clos de Vougeot and Romanée-St-Vivant.
