With a mission to craft the finest organic wines of Bullas DO, Bodegas Lavia is helmed by acclaimed winemakers Laura Ramos of Envinate and Sebastian Boudon. Their focus is on ancient Monastrell vines, with the state-of-the-art winery designed to respect nature through use of stainless steel and French oak tanks sized for small lot winemaking. Production adheres to natural, traditional methods to preserve maximum grape expression and concentration, resulting in complex, terroir-driven wines. Ramos, known for profoundly pure wines, partnered with owner Luis Miñano San Valero in 2014, seduced by the opportunity to work with her native region's heritage varieties while deeply respecting both vineyard and environment.
Cherry color with low layer. Intense, fresh nose, with hints of fruit over spicy notes. Pleasant on the palate, has good volume, and has lots of fruit. Silky with elegant tannins. Ends with a fresh finish.
