The 2022 Morey Saint-Denis Blanc En la Rue Vergy has a slightly petrol-y and Germanic bouquet that opens beautifully in the glass. Quite intense. The medium-bodied palate has a generous entry, quite spicy and phenolic, finishing with a dash of lemon thyme and lemongrass. Another superb white from the Domaine.

An exuberantly floral-suffused combination features notes of spice, wet stone and discreet green apple hints. Once again there is a lovely texture to the refined and intensely mineral-driven middleweight flavors that also conclude in a markedly dry and moderately austere finale. This is relatively tightly wound and will need at least a few years to flesh out and add depth. Lovely.

The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis En la Rue de Vergy Blanc is bright and pure, bursting with notes of pear, green apple, sweet citrus fruit and fresh pastry, followed by a medium-bodied, elegantly satiny, fine-boned palate.
