Château La Nerthe, a veteran and acclaimed winemaking team, boasts a rich and unique history in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of the oldest estates in the region. With historical documents dating back to 1560 and a historic château built in 1736, this esteemed estate has been a pioneer in the region. Château La Nerthe was one of the first to bottle their own wine, starting in 1784, and export it outside of France. They also initiated the practice of destemming 100% of their vines in the 1800s. This exceptional estate is certified AB Organic since 1998 and features exceptional, sloped terroir with sandy-clay soils and large, round galet stones.
Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Granieres de la Nerthe is a vibrant red wine with darker hints, showcasing a rich and fruity aroma of ripe black currant, cherry, and soft spicy notes. On the palate, it reveals soft tannins, berry fruits, and sweet spices, offering a harmonious and balanced taste experience. With an average vine age of over 40 years, this wine embodies the essence of Châteauneuf-du-Pape's terroir, featuring all 13 permitted primary varietals.
