Founded in 1947 in Breganze, Veneto, Maculan is now in its third generation of winemakers. Fausto Maculan, who took over in the 1970s, made the winery a benchmark producer in Italy before passing the baton to his daughters, Angela and Maria Vittoria. A pioneer of quality Italian winemaking, Fausto was among the first to highlight varietal names on labels and invest in quality-oriented techniques. Maculan's style reflects Breganze's tradition, using both native and "international" varieties introduced by the French and Austrians in the 1800s. The winery benefits from Breganze's unique terroir: volcanic soils and a climate balanced between cold Dolomites winds and warmer southern breezes, ideal for quality grape growing in this historically rich winemaking region.
Brilliant gold in color, this wine presents intense aromas of honey, flowers, vanilla, and a touch of elegant wood spices. The mouth is sweet and full-bodied, with excellent balance between acidity and sugar, leading to a clear, lively finish that lingers with nice persistence.
