Arista Winery's 2021 Pinot Noir from Kanzler Vineyard in the Russian River Valley exemplifies the unique terroir of this premier coastal site. Located just eight miles from the Pacific Ocean, the 25-year-old vines are planted in well-draining Goldridge soils, ideal for Pinot Noir. The vineyard's cool climate, influenced by oceanic fog, allows for slow and gradual ripening of the Dijon and Pommard clones. What sets this wine apart is the combination of Arista's minimal intervention approach, including native yeast fermentation and partial whole cluster fermentation, with the exceptional 2021 vintage conditions. Extremely perfumed with violets, black cherries and hints of bark. Savory and full-bodied with firm and fine tannins that frame the wine seriously. Notes of orange peel.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Kanzler Vineyard is a classic Russian River Pinot. Succulent dark cherry, plum, licorice, clove, menthol and leather all build in the glass, filling out the layers effortlessly. Silky tannins wrap it all together in style.

Juicy, punchy and forthright, with a mix of loganberry, black cherry and boysenberry fruit flavors leading the way. Gently singed black tea and hibiscus notes fuel the finish as the fruit lingers.
